The SE3SL features a dual-locking latch system that firmly secures the front and back shells of the suitcase when folded shut. These latches are made from high-strength ABS+PC material and undergo rigorous stress testing to ensure they remain locked even under motion pressure during ride mode. Once closed and latched, the structure becomes rigid—essential for maintaining integrity while riding. There’s no risk of accidental opening because the latch only releases when manually triggered by the user via the side release buttons, which are positioned out of reach during normal operation.
The 73.26Wh lithium battery is housed within the wheelbase and is fully enclosed—not inside the main compartment—so closing the case doesn’t compress or strain internal components. This design ensures that the closure remains tight regardless of how the bag is packed. Plus, the battery is removable, meeting airline regulations for safe travel. With a lightweight frame of about 6.8kg and a secure shell fit, the SE3SL balances portability with structural stability.
In ride mode, users stand on the integrated deck and control direction using the retractable handlebar. The entire weight distribution is centered over the wheels and frame, not the zipper or latch seams. This means the lid isn’t under pressure—it’s supported by the chassis. You don’t need the app to use ride mode—the core functions work right out of the box once the battery is installed. However, the optional Airwheel app allows you to control forward and backward movement with your phone.
